Mikey "Redd" O’Shaughnessy is one of Hawaii’s most talented sons. His dedication to heavy surf has taken him across the globe. His heroic efforts in waves of consequence are nothing short of inspiring. Belonging to the next generation of humble warriors, his commitment to big waves is matched only by his love for community. A true ambassador of aloha, Mikey Redd is as real as they come."

Born and raised in the village of Kalapana on the south east side of Hawai'i's Big Island, Mikey currently resides in Haleiwa on Oahu's North Shore. He has been featured in surf publications including Surfer Magazine, Free Surf Magazine, Surfers Journal and Surfline. He has won prestigious surf competitions including O'Neill+Surfline's "Wave of the Winter" and competes on the WSL's QS.
When not traveling the world and training to surf the best waves, he can be found volunteering his specialities as Waterman for non-profits such as Surfers Healing, NAMI, Sustainiable Coastlines Hawai'i, Hui Ho'oleimaluō and many others.
